Find answers to common questions about our platform.

How does Campus Collective work?
Campus Collective connects students at the University of Bern. You can find suitable tutoring, offer tutoring yourself, or become part of our community. Once you’ve registered, you can create your profile and get started straight away.
Who can offer tutoring?
Any student at the University of Bern with a good knowledge of a subject can offer tutoring. This way, learners benefit from peer support, whilst tutors can pass on their knowledge and earn money at the same time.
How do I find the right tutor?
You can search by subject or degree programme and select tutors based on their profiles. This helps you quickly find the support that suits your needs.
Is Campus Collective only for the University of Bern?
To begin with, Campus Collective is aimed exclusively at students at the University of Bern. Our aim is to build a strong community directly on campus and to connect students with one another. Other universities in Switzerland will join later.
How do payments and payouts work?

Payments are processed securely and easily via our platform.

For tutors: When you create your tutor profile, you’ll need to link a Stripe account to your bank account. Once your tutoring sessions have been successfully completed, your earnings will be transferred directly to your account via Stripe.

For students: When booking a learning session, you set up a payment method once. The agreed amount is automatically debited 24 hours before the booked learning session. This ensures the booking is binding for both parties and that payment is processed reliably.

How do I become a tutor?
To become a tutor at Campus Collective, you first need to register on our platform and create your tutor profile. You then verify your identity using a valid student ID card from the University of Bern. Once you’ve been successfully verified, you can write your own bio, list the subjects you’d like to teach, and start offering tuition straight away.
