  • Communication Data: The content of messages sent between users via our internal chat system.
  • Financial Metadata: While we do not store full credit card numbers, we store Stripe-related identifiers (Customer IDs, Account IDs) and transaction history to facilitate payments and payouts.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to provide a secure and efficient marketplace experience:

  • Verifying tutor identities to maintain platform safety.
  • Processing payments for tutoring sessions and fulfilling payouts to tutors.
  • Prefilling required legal information for Stripe Connect onboarding to simplify your experience.
  • Facilitating direct communication between students and tutors.
  • Sending critical account notifications and session reminders.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share certain data with trusted third parties to provide our services:

  • Stripe: We use Stripe for payment processing and automated payouts. When you add a payment method or set up a tutor payout account, your identity and contact data are shared with Stripe to fulfill legal requirements and prevent fraud.
  • Hosting: Our platform and database are hosted on secure servers located in Europe.

5. Data Visibility

To facilitate tutoring connections, your public profile (first name, last initial, bio, rating, and courses) is visible to all registered users. Your full legal address and phone number are never displayed publicly and are only used for verification and billing purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to your data, request corrections, or object to processing. You can update most information directly in your profile settings. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, please contact our support team.
