General Terms and Conditions (AGB)
Last Updated: June 7, 2026. Disclaimer: These terms are provided as a template for the Campus Collective platform and should be reviewed by a legal professional before production use.
1. Scope of Application
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all users of the Campus Collective platform, including students seeking tutoring and tutors offering educational services. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Services Provided
Campus Collective operates a marketplace platform that connects students with tutors. The contract for tutoring services is concluded directly between the student and the tutor. Campus Collective is not a party to the tutoring agreement but acts as an intermediary providing the infrastructure, communication tools, and payment processing.
3. User Accounts and Verification
Users must provide accurate and complete information during registration. Tutors must undergo a verification process (including student ID verification) to ensure the quality and safety of our community. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate our community standards.
4. Booking and Payments
- Prices for tutoring sessions are set by the platform and agreed upon during the booking process.
- Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
- Students are charged 24 hours before the scheduled start of a session.
- Funds are held by the platform and transferred to the tutor after the session is completed and reviewed by both parties.
5. Cancellation Policy
Sessions can be canceled free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the start time are generally not permitted by the system to protect the tutor's schedule. In exceptional cases of technical failure or verified emergencies, users may contact support.
6. Liability
While we verify tutor identities, Campus Collective does not guarantee the quality of tutoring or specific educational outcomes. Liability for the content and conduct of the tutoring sessions lies solely with the participating users. Campus Collective's liability for platform downtime or technical errors is limited to cases of gross negligence.
7. Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our separate Data Policy for detailed information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with the GDPR.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract is the location of the platform operator.
